Monday, February 1, is the last day to register to vote in the March 1 Republican and Democratic primary races. The Orange County Elections Administration Office said a registration form can be printed off the office’s website. The completed forms may be mailed to the office, but people should not wait until the last minute.
The current voter registration cards are blue and white and were mailed the first week of December to people who are already registered. People who have moved to another location in the county should check the precinct in which they now reside. A change of address must also be made by February 1.
Constables for all four county precincts and for two precinct commissioner races are on the Republican primary. Only people who live in specific precinct may vote for that precinct.
The elections administration office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The office is at 206 Border Street in Orange across from the Orange County Jail. The mailing address is 123 Sixth Street in Orange. Personnel will answer questions during business hours at 882-7973.
