Orange police early Thursday morning arrested a naked man yelling at vehicles while standing in the middle of 16th Street. Police reported the incident was at 1:13 a.m. in the 2400 block of 16th Street by the HEB and CVS stores.
When police arrived, the man got to the ground and started doing push-ups. 41-year-old Chad Eugene Shields of Orange was arrested for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and taken to the Orange County Jail.
Two men stole a red Ford Taurus after beating a 72-year-old man and taking his keys Wednesday afternoon.
The 72-year-old told Orange police he was sitting at a picnic table behind Joe Ware Center on Park Avenue at First Street about 1 p.m. Two men came up to him and asked if he knew of any lawns that needed mowing.
The man told Officer Dylan Mulhollan the two stood silent for a few moments. Then one walked behind him and grabbed him. The other grabbed him from the front.
The man wrestled with the two and managed to break away. One of the robbers tackled him to the ground and they punched him. After getting his car keys out of his pants pocket, the two drove away in the 2006 Taurus with a Texas license NTN 154.

Orange Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said police are looking for tips on a man who has a werewolf mask because a convenience store robber was wearing one. Captain Hargrave said the gunman who robbed the Shell store on Edgar Brown Drive Tuesday morning at 3:10 was wearing the mask. The mask prevented the clerk from getting a description on the man. The astronomical full moon was on Sunday night.
Orange police arrested a man for public intoxication after finding a truck-tractor rig in a ditch across Church Street off 16th Street. Officer Dustin Myers said he went to the site at 8 Wednesday night. The trailer on the rig was blocking both lanes of traffic on Church Street. He saw a man nearby who said the truck was his. Officer Myers said the man smelled of alcohol. He arrested the 38-year-old Del Rio man for misdemeanor public intoxication. The rig was towed away.
