The Bridge City Cardinal Athletic Booster Club will host the annual Sports Banquet on Tuesday May 9th, 2016. The event will be held at the BCHS Cafeteria from 5:30-9 p.m. Senior Scholarships will be awarded the night of the banquet. The West Orange-Stark High School Athletic Banquet will be at 6:30pm Tuesday, May 17th at the West Orange-Stark High School Cafeteria.
Male and female athletes from the current school year 2015-2016 will be honored. Each athlete will receive one free ticket. Parents and other family members may purchase tickets for $7.00 at the West Orange-Stark Athletic Office by May 13th. LCM Battlin’ Bear Band “Garage Sale” Fundraiser, Saturday, May 14th, 7am – 2pm, High School Band Hall
Donated items are needed to make this garage sale a successful fundraiser!!
Item drop off times at the high school band hall are as follows:
April 29th 7:30 to 8:30am and 3:30 to 5:00 pm; May 6th 7:30 to 8:30am and 3:30 to 5:00 pm; May 13th 7:30 to 8:30am and 3:30 to 5:00 pm

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office in Orange County is having 2 beekeeping workshops on May 21, 2016. The first session will cover Hive Management and building a hive—registration is at 8:30 with the class starting at 9:00 and lasting until noon. The second session will cover swarms and trap outs and will start at 1:00 pm and last until 3:00 pm. Lunch will be provided for those that attend both sessions. Each session will cost $20 and will be held at the Extension office on FM 1442 in Orange. Call 409-882-7010 the register and if you have any questions.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Summer youth cooking camp offers a wonderful opportunity for children to learn hands on how to prepare and cook meals, while learning kitchen skills, proper sanitation, menu development and nutrition. The day camp is open to youth ages 8 to 14, with a limit of 60 kids. The camp is filling up fast! So please call now to secure reservations for your child, 882-7010. The camp will be held June 13-17, 10-2 at the Orange County Convention & Expo Center. The kids will also participate in a food challenge on the fourth day of the camp. Cost is $40 per child and covers snacks, apron and all supplies needed. Release form along with payment must be received by June 3rd, but don’t wait till then to register, the class will be filled.
