Kent Hutchison, formerly of Orangefield, is returning to Southeast Texas on Thursday, January 11, 2018, to keynote with the Leadership Beaumont program at the Beaumont Independent School District Thomas Educational Support Center in Beaumont.

Hutchison is a founding partner with the C.J. Baxter Group, an employee development consulting firm based in Nacogdoches. His topic, titled “Leadership is About Relationships,” will focus on understanding relationship strategies for effective leadership.

“Leadership is about having a clear and compelling vision, and the ability to translate that vision into reality,” Hutchison said. Adding, “Therefore, leadership is about visions and relationships.”

The Leadership Beaumont program is hosted and sponsored by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce with the mission to identify, cultivate and develop leaders who will serve positively impact Southeast Texas. The program brings business professionals together to address critical issues in the community including but not limited to infrastructure, downtown development, education, along with health and wellness. This year will be Hutchison’s third consecutive time to be invited to address the organization.

“It is always so much fun to return to my hometown region and work with the outstanding community leaders,” he said. “The chamber’s leadership program is one of the premier programs in the state, and it is entirely an honor to be invited to work with this group of distinguished young professional leaders,” Hutchison added.

Hutchison is a graduate of Orangefield High School, attended Lamar State College-Orange, and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. He is the youngest son of Ronnie and Jennie Hutchison of Orangefield.
