
The Celebration of Life for Mr. Xavier “Mac 10” DeGay, 47, of Orange, will be Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at 11am at New Beginnings Outreach Ministry under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Hollywood Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11am.
Xavier James DeGay known as Mac 10 to many was born on June 1, 1977, in Galveston, Texas to James Arthur DeGay and Margie (Allen ) DeGay. He was raised in Orange, Texas.
Xavier attended West Orange Cove schools, graduating in 1996 from Park View High School.
As a young child, Xavier was baptized by Reverend George H. Brown at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was active in the youth department where his mother was one of the youth department matrons.
In 2005 Xavier met the love of his life, Ms. Clydmeshia D. Rushing and they were united in Holy Matrimony. They endured life’s ups and downs but the love they shared kept them together as one. After marriage, he decided to rededicate his life to God and was baptized by his father-in-law, Rev. Eddie Lee Smith, joining New Beginning Church Outreach Ministry.
The love of cars and motorcycles was a true passion Xavier had leading him to a lawn care maintenance business he named Wonderful Trim.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James “Fat Daddy” DeGay on May 9, 2005, his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Mary DeGay, maternal grandparents, Willie and I’Dearia Allen and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Early Wednesday morning, May 14, 2025, at his residence, Xavier answered God’s call with his wife, daughter and mother by his side.
Forever cherishing his memories, his wife, Clydmeshia DeGay, a daughter, Dycelynn Robinson, parents, James and Margie DeGay, brother, Ronald Jason “Mac 5” DeGay, nephew, Ronald Jeremaine “Puda” DeGay and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
