Two wrecks happened almost simultaneously on Interstate 10 Wednesday, shutting down traffic both ways in the unpopular construction zone. Both accidents involved multiple cars and an 18-wheeler.
The westbound accident happened near the Texas Information Center and the eastbound accident was on top of the 16th St. overpass, which kept traffic at a dead stop for over two hours. Little details were provided at press time.
Another accident occurred on Old Hwy. 90 just as I-10 traffic was clearing up. Traffic was backed up on Hwy. 90 because of the I-10 accidents and a man driving a box truck apparently wasn’t paying attention according to Orange Police and plowed into the back of several cars near Jett Cemetery and the Brown Estate. No serious injuries were reported according to OPD.
