The WOS Mustangs and Vidor Pirates took their talents to The Butch in Beaumont Thursday for the final scrimmage of the 2016 campaign. The two played a full game and WOS won 35-19.
The Pirates moved the ball but were unsuccessful scoring until the second half where the backups scored 12 of the 19 points. The Mustangs big play capability added quick scores in the first half where they built a 28-7 lead.
WOS will open the season with Nederland at home on KOGT and the Pirates will entertain Barbers Hill.
