This past Saturday at Goose Creek Memorial HS 7 lifters from West Orange – Stark competed in the Regional powerlifting meet. Jordan Garrett and Darby Jones excelled and had a great day in competition, with both placing in the top 3 of their weight class. Garrett placed 3rd in the SHW division with a Squat of 550lbs, Bench Press of 310lbs, and a Dead Lift of 510lbs to give him a total of 1,370lbs. Darby Jones placed 2nd qualifying for the State meet in Abilene, with a Squat of 565lbs, Bench Press of 360lbs, and a Dead Lift of 580lbs to give him a total of 1,505lbs. The State meet is in Abilene on March 23rd.
