West Orange – Stark High School students swept the top three places in News Writing competition, as well as placed students in all journalism events, to win the Journalism team trophy at the Sabine Pass UIL Academic Meet this weekend. Brittany Barclay placed first in Feature Writing and Editorial Writing, second in News Writing and fourth in Headline Writing. Kaylyn Roberts placed first in News and sixth in Feature. Felicia Amy placed third in News and fourth in Feature. Emma Dorantes placed second in Editorial and Demaric Judge placed fifth in News Writing. Meri Elen Jacobs is the WO-S Journalism sponsor.
