
A 64-year-old woman was stabbed in the left cheek with a pair of scissors Saturday afternoon. She told Orange police another woman tried to take her cell phone, then took scissors and stabbed her. Police said the cut went through her cheek into her gums.
Police were called to Norwood Drive at 4:50 p.m. Saturday. The injured woman had been driven there by a man after she walked away from the house where she was stabbed. When police arrived, the woman was bleeding and also had bloody scratches on her arm.
The woman told police she was visiting with a friend who lived on 17th Street at Barkins Street. She was sitting and chatting with the woman who attacked her before the stabbing.
Acadian Ambulance went to the Norwood house and took the injured woman to Baptist Hospital Orange Emergency Room.
