A woman told Orange police a man in a red car fired shots at her car on 16th Street at Interstate 10 Friday afternoon. She went to the police station at 4:48 p.m. Friday to report the incident.
She told Officer S.J. Mulhollan she was traveling northbound and was stopped at the red light. A red Dodge Magnum almost hit the rear of her car. She said she rolled down her window and got into an argument. After the light turned green, she continued northbound and switched from the inside to the outside lane.
She said the Dodge pulled up beside her. The driver of the Dodge rolled down the window, pointed a pistol at her and fired three times. The woman continued to drive north with the Dodge following her. After she thought she lost the Dodge, she turned back toward Orange and traveled southbound.
Then the Dodge again began to follow her. She told Officer Mulhollan the chase went into town and she lost the Dodge in the area near Roselawn. The officer reported he found three holes in the side of her car.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the woman did not have a description of her assailant. Detectives have the report under investigation. If anyone has information about the shooting or the red Dodge Magnum, they should contact the Orange Police Department at 409-883-1026.
