A local woman told Orange police a friend gave her a ride and then pulled a gun on her when they got into a fight.
Officers on Monday about 6:45 p.m. went to Sunset Drive at Sunset Circle B after a 911 call about a disturbance.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the victim had gone to the police station. She later went by private transportation to a Port Arthur hospital for treatment of injuries and was released.
The woman told police the two were in the car and the argument came to exchanged blows. The driver pointed a handgun at her and threatened her. Then the passenger jumped out of the car.
Because of the weapon, the incident is being investigated as a felony aggravated assault.
