
Early Tuesday morning authorities were called to a train vs. pedestrian accident near Main St. in Orange.
They located a woman behind the former Long’s Furniture building at the end of 14th St. A BNSF Railroad employee was providing first aid when they arrived.
According to West Orange Fire Chief David Roberts, it appeared the woman was struck trying to cross the tracks, and suffered a broken arm. She was taken to the hospital for treatment. The train crossed the bayou before coming to a full stop near McDonald Baptist Church on South St.
