A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Vidor on Highway 12 at Evangeline Drive.
Vidor Police Chief Rod Carroll said the woman is 71-year-old Betty Ingle Carter of Orange County.
The crash was about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection and involved a Kia SUV and a Ford pickup truck. Evangeline Drive is also FM 1132. The intersection has a traffic light and Vidor police are investigating to determine what happened.
Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Rodney Price ruled the woman dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was taken by ambulance to a Beaumont hospital with serious injuries.
