Monday evening West Orange-Cove CISD welcomed Pamela Thomas to the WOC Police Dept. and promoted Shanter Norman (left) to Lieutenant.
Thomas retired from DPS after 22 years in 2024. She said she’s looking forward to being a positive role model for young ladies as well as for the community.
Norman is in his 12th year in law enforcement and second with WOCCISD.
He said, “I’m excited about the promotion and ready to give back and pay it forward. I want to be a positive role model and change how people see the police and public safety . It’s more of a calling than a profession to make an impact on young people’s lives.”
