WO Welcomes Christmas

December 3, 2019

The Christmas holiday season officially kicked off Monday night in West Orange with the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree next to the West Orange Community Center.  Municipal Court Judge Carl Thibodeaux began the night reading “The Cajun Night Before Christmas” to the enjoyment of everyone.  The public works department has redone the lights on the Christmas Tree which shone brighter than ever.  There was caroling before Santa Claus arrived in his special red sleigh provided by the West Orange Fire Department.  Santa then heard requests from kids for Christmas presents they want.
