
William Troy Ellis, age 60, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his residence, after a hard fought battle with cancer. A funeral service honoring Troy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow services at Ida Wilson Cemetery.
Troy was born in Orange, Texas, to parents Leo Daniel Ellis and Wanda Mae Ellis. He worked alongside his dad, Leo, as a teenager and quickly became one of the most well-known cement finishers in Southeast Texas. In his spare time, he loved riding horses and working cattle. Troy will always be remembered by his family and friends for his strong leadership and lasting impact. Above all, Troy was a true cowboy at heart – honest, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand. His grit, loyalty, and love for the land will live on in every hoofprint and every heart he touched.
Troy is survived by his children, Kayleigh Richard, Husband Brandon , Kyle Ellis, Wife Kami, Sadie Scales, Husband Allen; grandchildren, Bryce Richard, Avrie Ellis, Ady Richard, Tanner Scales, Blake Richard, Aubrie Ellis, Luke Ellis; brothers, Trac Ellis and family, Todd Ellis and family, Trever Ellis and family, Tyler Ellis and family and Plus many many more family and friends!
Pallbearers honoring Troy will be Kyle Ellis, Brandon Richard, Trever Ellis, Allen Scales, Coby Ellis, Casey Ellis, Creig Ellis, and Travis Ellis.
