
William James “Jimmy” Hubbard, Sr., 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 25, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 4, 1953, he was the son of Harold Ray Hubbard and Joretta Smith Hubbard. He was a dedicated public servant, having worked as a Deputy for both the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Newton County Sheriff’s Department. Beyond his professional life, Jimmy was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for leather working, creating unique and meaningful gifts that brought joy to his family and friends. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies, as he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Family gatherings at the lake were cherished occasions for Jimmy, where he embraced the laughter, stories, and memories made with his loved ones. A grandfather who deeply cherished his role, he found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Jimmy was also known for his love of food and Diet Dr. Pepper. His ability to connect with others and show unwavering support for his children and grandchildren will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and creativity that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. He will be dearly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Joretta Hubbard; his loving wife, Oma Jean Hubbard; and his brother, Randy Hubbard.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Foreman and husband, Patrick; his sons, Willy Hubbard and wife, Courtney, and Gideon Hubbard and wife, Bailey; his grandchildren, Caden Hubbard, Macie Hubbard, Cutler Hubbard, Breea Hubbard, and Rylie Hubbard; his great-grandchild, Knox Fesmire; his brothers, Thomas Hubbard, and Michael Hubbard and wife, Vivian; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Hubbard, Patrick Foreman, Caden Hubbard, Cutler Hubbard, Jason Burch, Chris Dyson, and Josh Reed. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Knox Fesmire.
