Mr. William Bill Haney, 77, of Mauriceville passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his residence in Mauriceville, TX.
He was born on June 28, 1943 in Beaumont, TX., where he lived before he moved to Deweyville on the Sabine River and lived most of his life there. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all. William was a retired process operator with Mobil Chemical after 26 years of faithful service. William proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserves for 4 years. He was an avid sportsman and spent most of his life hunting and fishing on the Sabine River in Deweyville. He was a supporter of AG and loved Rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Edward Yard and his parents, Raymond Haney & Louise Haney Porter.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Haney of Mauriceville, daughter Kellye Ellis and husband Brian of Mauriceville, son Todd Haney and his wife Ashley of San Antonio, grandchildren, Christopher Ellis of Mauriceville, Jessica Haney of Vidor, Courtney Empson and her husband Matt of Deweyville, Garrett Haney of San Antonio, Nolan Haney of Deweyville, Alyssa Haney of Buna, and Ryan Enloe of Dallas, seven great grandchildren, Nickolas, Jaisa, Adaleigh, Hayleigh, Kinley, Haiden, and Jolene, and his sister, Patricia Greene of Nederland.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Bill’s Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. His burial be held following his service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
