The Orange Christmas Parade was held Monday in downtown Orange with some great participation and attendance from the community. The Kiwanis Club sponsors the parade and made the decision a week ago to move the parade to Monday after learning of last Friday’s weather forecast.
Michelle Tubbleville with Orange County Disaster Rebuild was the Grand Marshal of the Parade and chose the Home Depot float as the Grand Marshal Winner.
Mary McKenna of Southeast Texas Hospice, Frankie Zuniga of Salvation Army, and Maureen McAllister and Georgia Taylor with United Way had the tough job of judging the entries.
Dragon Lady Airboat Rides won the Commercial Division while the Girl Scouts 3262 won the Non-Profit Division. The Orangefield Softball Team won the School Division and Entergy won the Judge’s Choice Award.
Thanks everyone for coming out!
