The WOS JV defeated the Newton JV 55-0. Jamaal Shaw scored on an 8 yard TD run (Extra Point no good) 6-0. Warren Gibson scored on a blocked punt (Extra point good by M. Villeda) 13-0. Jamaal Shaw scored on a 2 yard TD run (Extra point good by M. Villeda) 20-0. Jamaal Shaw scored on a 14 yard TD run (Extra Point good by M. Villeda) 27-0. Jerold Brown scored on a 28 yard pass reception from Dakarion Judge (Extra Point good by M. Villeda) 34-0. Robert Peeples scooped up a fumble recovery for a TD (Extra Point good by M. Villeda) 41-0. Quinton Walker scored on a 28 yard TD run (Extra Point good by M. Villeda) 48-0. Dakarion Judge scored on a 35 yard TD run (Extra Point good by M. Villeda) 55-0. Offensive Standouts: Issac Morris, Mak’yan Mickey, Casen Barnes, Issac Medina. Defensive Standouts: Robert Peeples, Dylan Spencer, Kaiden Berry.
WOS 7th grade beat Newton 40-22. Raymond mallet had 1 rush TD, 1 reception TD and 1 KOR for TD he had one forced fumble and two fumble recovery’s. Marcus Turner threw for two TD. Tahj Amerson 1 rush TD. AJ Spencer one reception TD. Taylor Jacobs had 1 Fumble recover for a TD.
WOS 8th grade beat Newton 30-0. La’Tyrick Boutte 2 rush TD and a fumble recovery. Keyshawn Robinson had 1 pass TD and 1 rush TD. Nick Crosson 1 Reception TD. 8TH grade defense was outstanding.
TUESDAY-
The 8th grade boys football team beat Anahuac Tuesday by a score of 14-0. Rayburn Hebert scored on a 6 yard run for the first TD. Lincoln Breaux scored on a 10 yard TD run. Rayburn Hebert converted on the 2 point conversion run. The offensive line played well as well as Lincoln Breaux, Justin Utterback, Jamel Charles, and Aaron Torres on Defense.
The 7th grade team defeated Anahuac by a score of 26-14. Offensive standouts were Dax Latiolais who had three touchdowns, Austin Bellanger had a touchdown run, and Hutch Bearden (2 Point conversion) had several long runs that set the Cardinals up in good scoring position. The offensive line consisting of Blaze King, Tad Knapp, Dylan Savoy, Landon Patten, and Ayden Perritt did a great job opening holes all night. The defense played extremely well and was led by Bryson Reading and Judd Cutchins who both picked up interceptions. Jaylen Charles, Bryce Linder, and Landon Patten also led the defense.
Bridge City will be playing at Silsbee next Tuesday night September 17th. The 7th/8th White teams will play at 5:00 PM, followed by the 7th Red team, then the 8th Red team.
