The WOS JV was defeated by the Liberty JV 24-22. Wos defense recorded a safety 2-0.
#13 Michael Turner returned a kickoff back for a TD. 2 point play was good by #30 Keythen Windam. 10-0 WOS. #38 Jaden Butler threw a 70 yard reverse pass to #15 Treshun Garlow. 2 point play was no good. #30 Keythen Windham scored on a 1 yard TD run. 2 point play was no good. 22-16 WOS. Orangefield JV 44 Anahuac JV 13
The Orangefield JV Bobcats improved to 6-0 Overall, 2-0 in District with a 44-13 home win over the Anahuac JV Panthers. The Bobcats started the scoring in the 1st quarter when Kyler Green scored from 34 yards out to give the Bobcats a 6-0 lead. The Bobcats would get a safety on Anahuac when the snap went over the head of the Panthers punter in the endzone to make the score 8-0 in the 2nd quarter. A few minutes later, runs by Zach Morrow, Ashton Sumrall, and Green set up Kaleb Menard to score a touchdown from 3 yards out to extend the lead to 14-0. Linebacker Logan Trero recovered a Panthers fumble on the next possession to give the Bobcats the ball at the end of the 2nd quarter. Rylan McAlpin scored from 14 yards on a reverse with Green adding a 2-point conversion run to give the Bobcats a 22-0 lead at halftime. The Bobcats would get the ball first to start the 3rd quarter. Green would make a big 57-yard run that set up Zach Morrow to score from 7 yards out. Menard would run in the 2-point conversion to extend the lead to 30-0. Anahuac would score in the 3rd quarter to cut the lead to 30-7. Early in the 4th quarter, Carson Worthy would intercept an Anahuac pass and score from 37 yards. Sumrall would run in the 2-point conversion and the Bobcats led 38-7. Linebacker Colt Longron would recover a fumble to give the Bobcats the ball late in the 4th quarter. Morrow would add a 10-yard touchdown run to help give the Bobcats a 44-7 lead. Anahuac would score at the end of the game to make the final, Bobcats 44 Panthers 13. The JV Bobcats play next Thursday in Tarkington.

Bridge City Middle School hosted the Nederland CO Wilson Bullpups Thursday night.
The 7th grade white team lost 8-0. Defensive leaders were Antonio Rodriguez, Macon Mendoza, Landon Sanchez, Corban Palfy, and Davis Ritchey. Offensive leaders were Rylan Thompson, Macon Mendoza, Chris Carranza, Davis Ritchey, and Camden Fall. Special teams leaders were Kowlen Killingsworth, and Corban Palfy.
The 7th grade red team lost 8-0. Offensive leaders were Braxton Colunga, and Ayden Wiley. The defense was led by Aaron Toups, Romeo Mendoza, Ja’Quavin Burrell, and Conner Yost.
The 8th grade white team picked up their first win of the season with a 14-8 win over the Bullpups. The offense was led by Brayden Greer, Braylyn Atia, Dylan Carter had a nice TD run, and Jose Torres punched in a two point conversion. The Defense was led by Brayan Collazo, Derrek LeBlanc, Stephen Kelly, Dylan Carter, Carson Richey, Jackson Richey, Hayden Holden, Maddox Campbell, and Jose Torres. Braylyn Atia had a 70 yard kickoff return for a touchdown late in the 4th quarter to give the Cards the lead.
The 8th grade red team fell to the pups 40-14, dropping to 3-1 on the season. The offense was led by Keagan Trahan who had 100 yards rushing including an 8 yard touchdown run. Hudson Hoffman had several nice passes to Carson Bounds, and also had a two point conversion run. Jayden Dodge also punched in a nice touchdown run late in the game. The offense line was led by CJ Larkin and Slade Landry. The defense was led by Keagan Trahan, Slade Landry, Alex Chappell, Luke Nelson, and Garrett Worthy. Special teams were led by Reece Skinner, Jordan Cordova, and Slade Landry.
The Cardinals will host the Jasper Bulldogs next Thursday, October 6th at Moe Litton Field.
