The Bridge City Middle School Football teams traveled to Liberty Thursday night and split the two games with the Panthers.
The 7th grade Red team defeated the Panthers 16-12. The offense was led by Hudson Hoffman who had several nice passes to Luke Nelson, and a 34 yard touchdown pass to Joel Williams. Bryce Breeden had a touchdown run and Alex Chappell added a two point conversion run. The defense was led by Joel Williams who had a sack, and Alex Chappell who had a fumble recovery. Linebackers Keagan Trahan and Bryce Breeden also played well. With the win the team improves their record to 4-3 on the year and 3-2 in district.
The 8th grade red team lost a close one to the Panthers 15-12. Max Pachar had two touchdown passes to both Austin Frederick (45 yards) and Hunter Ford (33 yards). Braxton Lynam ran the ball well for BC. Ford and Frederick also had several nice returns on special teams. The loss drops their record to 4-3 on the year and 3-2 in district.
They will close out the season next Thursday at home when they host the WOS Stallions.

The Bridge City Middle School White Teams hosted three games on Tuesday night at Larry Ward Stadium.
In the first game half of our 8th grade white team played the St. Anne’s Wildcats. The Cardinals fell 40-28. Offensive leaders were Trystan Davidson and JJ Rougeau who both had touchdowns. Judson Carlin also had touchdown passes to Atticus Moore and Hunter Pinion. Defensive leaders were Trenton Cox, JJ Rougeau, and Andrew Moore who had a fumble recovery.
In the second game our 7th grade white team shutout the Port Neches Warriors 12-0. Caishus King and Dax Plessala (65 yards) had touchdown runs. Braylyn Atia also had several key runs. Ricky Kelly, Antony Garcia, Tristan Hammond played well on defense.
In the last game of the night the other half of our 8th grade white team tied Port Neches 6-6. Offensive leaders were Dane Shaffer, Juan Garcia, Konner Bradley. Kadence Spears made program history when she became the first female to score a touchdown with her 22 yard touchdown catch from Evan Jackson just before the half ended. The defense was led by Evan Jackson, Konner Bradley, Peyton Burke, Dylan Bradley, and Kadence Spears.
