Tuesday’s weather forecast features chances of damaging winds, possible tornados and rain for this afternoon into this evening.
All schools in Orange County and Deweyville have moved all sporting events scheduled for Tuesday and moved them to Wednesday.
Some schools have also gone to an Early Release schedule today.
LCM – Based on the forecast for developing weather conditions, LCM will be releasing students early today. Elementary students will be released at 12:15 and Secondary students will be released at 1:30.
Deweyville – Due to growing concerns of high winds and rain, Deweyville I.S.D. will be releasing at 2:00 P.M. to ensure the safe travel home of all students and staff. If you need to change your student’s afternoon transportation, please contact the appropriate campus office. We are sorry for any inconvenience, the safety of students and staff are always top priority.
Vidor – Due to concerns regarding high winds and rain VISD schools will release elementary campuses at 1:00 and secondary campuses at 1:45. Parents please be aware of these early releases.
WOCCISD – Due to hazardous weather conditions approaching the area the district will be releasing students today at the following times. Middle and High schools will be released at 12:30, North Early Learning will be released at 1:30 and the Elementary will be released at 2:30.
Orangefield – Orangefield will release early. Junior High 12:30; High School 12:40; Elementary 1:40
Bridge City – BCISD will release early. Middle and High School at 1:10pm and Elementary at 2:15pm
St. Mary – School will release at noon today.
The Lamar State College Orange campus will close at 12:15pm due to bad weather conditions. All classes as of that time and after will be canceled for the remainder of the day.
