Wayne Edward Hasley was born on February 1, 1951 to Ruthie and Penny Hasley. Although Wayne was born with Cerebral Palsy and never walked or talked, he had a welcoming and inviting personality and a big smile that would light up a room.
As a young boy, Wayne’s parents took him to meet televangelist Oral Roberts who laid hands on him and prayed for him.
Wayne had a vast collection of stuffed animals that he loved to look at and he also enjoyed watching television and listening to music. He also loved to sit on the side of the bed alongside his mother and stroke her long beautiful hair.
We were blessed to have Wayne with us for 68 years. Wayne went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruthie and Penny Hasley.
Wayne leaves to cherish his precious memory a brother Willie C. Wilson of Orange, TX, two nieces Patrice Washington (Malcolm) and Carla Wilson both of Houston, TX, sister-in-law Mildred Wilson of Orange, TX and a host of other loving relatives.
Services for Wayne Hasley will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Salem United Methodist Church at 402 W. John Ave.
