Three Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs—Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, and Ready Set Teach—are featured in the Vidor School District’s new Bond Issue, marking an exciting step forward for hands-on learning opportunities for students.
The CTE Director and program teachers are actively collaborating with architect Clay Richards, and designers Steve Wilson & Linda Roe to help shape the plans for the new facilities. The CTE staff’s input is guiding important decisions to ensure each space meets real instructional needs. Plans include a fully functional Cosmetology salon and classroom, a modern Culinary Arts lab and classroom, and an updated Ready Set Teach learning environment.
Including the CTE educators who will use these labs daily in the design and blueprint process helps ensure the spaces are both practical and purpose-driven. This collaborative approach supports high-quality instruction and reflects a strong commitment to preparing students with industry-relevant skills in functional learning environments.
