The Vidor High School Nursing students recently brought laughter and excitement to local nursing home residents with their annual “Deer Hunt” fall activity. Students dressed up as playful “deer,” complete with antlers and festive fall accessories, while residents were equipped with toy water guns to “hunt” and find them throughout the facility. The event sparked smiles, friendly competition, and plenty of joyful interaction as residents eagerly searched for the disguised students. Both the residents and students said they loved the activity, which has quickly become a cherished tradition that blends fun with meaningful connection. This creative fall event strengthens the bond between VHS Health Science students and the elderly community members they serve.
