
Veterans with arrest warrants for misdemeanor offenses may be able to work out solutions. A special warrant amnesty for veterans will be held at four different courts beginning Monday through November 15.
Besides the four courts, the Orange County District Attorney’s office will help with warrants filed for hot checks. The number to call is 409-883-6764. Ask for the hot check department.
Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins and Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Rodney Price will be available to help veterans with cases in their courts during their regular business hours from Monday through November 15.
Jenkins court is at 3500 Edgar Brown Drive in Orange and his number is 409-882-7805. Price’s court is at 190 Camp Street in Vidor and his number is 409-769-2284.
The Vidor Municipal Court will have a special session for veterans on Tuesday, November 12, at 9 a.m. The Orange County Veterans Services, the Southeast Texas Food Bank, and Christian Care Center will be at the court to help veterans, even those without court cases. Veterans should bring a photo ID and the DD Form 214.

Bridge City Municipal Court will also have a special session for veterans on Tuesday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to noon. The court is at 110 Rachal in Bridge City and the number is 409-735-2236.
