Young vandals Saturday afternoon broke windows and damaged the old movie theater that Orange Community Players has been working to remodel into a new theater.
A citizen called 911 about 2:30 p.m. after seeing the juveniles at 3330 Bowling Lane.
The longtime OCP theater in downtown Orange flooded in Ike in 2008 and then again in Harvey in 2017. The non-profit group bought the movie theater, which closed after Harvey even though it did not flood, to turn into a playhouse for productions.
The amateur theater group has been having fundraisers to help get money for the remodeling.
