Quick work by police Thursday put two men behind bars Thursday.
At approximately 1:30pm on Thursday, July 9, the West Orange Police Department responded to a call of an aggravated robbery that occurred at a residence in the 1800 block of Bowie Street.
The victim of the robbery reported that a short time earlier, that he answered a knock on the door of his home at which time he saw two black males at his door. The two suspects forced their way into the residence, one pointing a pistol, and demanded cash. The victim complied and the pair left in an orange colored car.
A short time later, Officers located the suspect vehicle on 16th Street in Orange. With the assistance of Orange Police Officers, a traffic stop was conducted and the two males and a female were detained. Evidence gathered during the traffic stop and questioning by West Orange and Orange Police Detectives, one male was transported to Hardin County Juvenile Detention and the other was transported to the Orange County Jail, both charged with Aggravated Robbery. The female was released pending charges at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
