On Friday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 12:36 A.M., officers with the City of Orange Police Department received radio traffic reporting that a firearm had been discharged from a vehicle near Simmons Drive.
Officers located the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on Simmons Drive and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to stop, resulting in a pursuit that continued into Louisiana. The pursuit concluded in Sulphur, Louisiana.
The driver, identified as 30-year-old Jasmine Thibodeaux of Orange, Texas, was taken into custody by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department. The front seat passenger, identified as 34-year-old Michael Alex of Orange, Texas, fled the scene on foot but was apprehended a short time later and taken into custody. This incident remains under active investigation.
