The Orange Police Department is investigating a theft that occurred early on Monday morning. Officer Nicholas Medina was dispatched to 1321 North 16th Street at approximately 2:00 AM Monday. There he contacted a black male who informed him that a white female took his phone from the passenger seat in his vehicle. The windows were rolled down and the complainant was out of his vehicle.
Later Monday night Officer Ryan Casey was dispatched to the area of Sunset Park off of 16th Street to investigate the burglary of a vehicle. Casey spoke to the owner of the vehicle who provided details of the item taken from the vehicle. Captain Robert Enmon of the detective division with the Orange Police Department reported that a small hand gun was taken by the perpetrator. Enmon said they have no leads at this time to a suspect.
