Beginning July 31 Tulane Rd. in Orange will be closed to thru traffic between Hwy. 62 and MLK Drive.
The Sabine River Authority will be replacing culverts that run under Tulane and also the Union Pacific Railroad in an attempt to improve the SRA’s canal system.
Road closure preparation will actually begin July 27, weather permitting, with full closure on July 31, according to the contractor.
The contractor also says the closing of thru traffic on Tulane is expected to last approximately 80 days.
