
The LCM volleyball team played its second match in as many days and swept WOS Tuesday by scores of 16-14-18. For LCM Brianna Humble had 5 aces, Chelsea Perry added 16 kills, Brielle Butler lead with 18 digs, Ariah Washington had two blocks and Caitlyn Woods lead with 11 assists. The LCM JV also won.
The OF Lady Bobcats took on the Hardin Lady Hornets in district play. The freshman worked hard, but fell in two sets of 25-16 and 25-17. The JV lost in two sets and the Varsity lost in four sets 13-25, 25-21, 17-25, 13-25. Faith Fregia and Maddie Greenway had six kills each. Bailee South and Tiffany Ciancaglione had 11 assists while Fregia added a team high 19 digs. Emma Humplik had six blocks and Lily Saucedo added three aces for the 1-2 Bobcats. The Lady Bobcats will face Buna at Home with the Varsity starting at 4:30, and the JV and Freshman to play at the same time after.
Deweyville stays undefeated in district with a straight set win over Burkeville. The Lady Pirates wrap up the first round of district with a big game against Evadale.
Bridge City lost to Lumberton 25-17, 27-25, 25-17. They will have a bye Friday and go to WOS Tuesday.
Vidor did not play. Because of Imelda the district is having a meeting to figure out how to catch up with the schedule.
