
The Vidor Lady Pirates opened district play with a straight set win over Cleveland (8-14-15). The Pirates are now 12-8 overall and 1-0 in district.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats took on Hardin Jefferson at home with the varsity losing in three (15-24-20). Leaders for the Lady Bobcats were: Mackenzie Davis 11 assists, Tiffany Ciangalione 8 assists; Lily Saucedo 18 digs and Faith Fregai 15 digs; Bailee Click had 8 kills, Madison Greenway had 4, and Faith Fregia had 6 on the night. The Freshman won in 2 sets with scores of (25-23) and (25-22). The JV defeated HJ in three sets with scores of (25-18), (19-25), and (25-21). The Varsity will be competing in the YMBL tournament Thursday and Friday, and all 3 teams will be kicking off district at Home on Friday against Warren.
Bridge City lost to Liberty 3-1. Rylee Oceguera had 18 kills.
