BASKETBALL
In the third round of the 4A basketball playoffs the LCM Bears lost to Houston Washington 89-65. Once again the Bears were lead by Ben Elliott’s 22 points and Alantheon Winn added 20. Miguel Molina had 12 and 12 boards. The Eagles were lead by Kenneth Lewis’ 40 points. LCM ends year 24-12.

SOFTBALL
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Deweyville Lady Pirates tonight 4-3. Abigail Curphey got the win on the mound going the full seven innings and giving up two earned runs with 9 strikeouts.
Harleigh Rawls led the offense with a single, a double, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Joli Ponfick had a hit, a run scored, and a walk. Abigail Curphey had 2 hits and a run scored. Paris Becker and Abby Broussard both had hits.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 8-6 on the year and travel to the Cleveland Rotary tournament this Thursday.

SOCCER
The Vidor Lady Pirates (above) beat BC 4-0 to clinch a playoff spot for the 13th year in a row. Congrats ladies and Coach Fields!

The Lady Bears took on a solid Lady Raider team Tuesday night at Bear Stadium and came up short 7-0. Offensively, the Lady Bears kept Lumberton on their toes all night and had many shots on goal but couldn’t find the back of the net. After some much needed rest on Friday this week, the Lady Bears will be back on the pitch for Senior Night next Tuesday the 8th against Bridge City. The Lady Bears are sitting in 2nd place, 8-2 in district, and 13-6-1 overall.

GOLF
The Orangefield boys JV golf team traveled to Wildwood Country Club this week and finished in the top spot. Alex Montz (86) led the Bobcats and captured the 2nd place medalist. The rest of the team consisted of Jackson Humplik (93), Aiden Feidler (96), Zack Morrow (97), and Santiago Bacca (111).
