
SOFTBALL
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats fell to the Kountze Lionettes 3-1 in the district opener. Abigail Curphey gave up 2 earned runs on 5 hits with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. Haylee Spears had 1 of 2 hits and an RBI. Abby Broussard had 2 walks and a run scored. Curphey had the other hit. The Lady Bobcats fall to 8-5-1 overall and 0-1 in district play.
Vidor crushed Nederland 12-1. S. Aguirre was the winning pitcher, striking out four and walking none. She also went 2-3 at the plate with 2RBI’s.
Bridge City traveled to Splendora and no hit the Wildcats 11-0. Carson Fall (above) was once again incredible with a 15K no hitter and one walk from a perfect game. She also had two homers and 4 RBI’s. Haley Munoz and Anna Autrey both went 3-4 with 2RBI’s.
Deweyville whips Burkeville 25-6. The Pirates scored 25 runs on just 7 hits in a four inning game as Burkeville recorded 7 errors. Gonzales was 2-2 with 2RBI’s.
BASEBALL
BC beats Buna 4-3 on a bases loaded walk to Austin Frederick.
Monday Vidor lost to West Brook 7-0
LCM won at Liberty 9-2. Scheiderer and Seago were both 2-4 with 2RBI. Richards had a 3 run double. Freeman and Bandiero combined to strike out 11 Panthers.
OF beat Tarkington 6-4. The Bobcats were down 4-0 before mounting a comeback. Fregia and Fountain knocked in two runs each. Menard, Tait and Gonzales combined to strike out 11 and walk only 3.
WOS beat Sabine Pass 14-1. Zach Nation was 3-4 with 2RBI and 2Runs scored. D. Ibarra pitched 3 innings with 8K’s for the win.
SOCCER
Vidor shutout LCM 2-0. Ribeiro and Roy provided the goals.
The Lady Pirates (below) beat the Bears 7-1 and the JV won 1-0.
