The Orangefield Lady Bobcats traveled to Jasper Tuesday and drove home bi-district champs after a four set win over Diboll. OF improves to 30-9 and will face Anderson-Shiro in the second round of the 3A playoffs on Thursday at Crosby HS at 7pm. Shiro, the champs of 23-3A, beat Van Vleck in straight sets.
The Vidor Lady Pirates made the playoffs for the first time in school history with Coach Melissa Story leading them. But they fell to Friendswood in straight sets and end their historic season 24-16.
Up in Kountze, the LCM Lady Bears won the first two sets against Tarkington but lost the last three, including 15-8 in the fifth set. It’s the third straight year they’ve been eliminated by the Lady Longhorns.
The Deweyville Lady Pirates, who won their bidistrict game on Monday, will play Thursday against the Leon Cougars at Huntington HS at 6pm.
