
Great early season matchup between Nederland and Vidor saw the Bulldogs hand the Pirates (4-1) a 64-60 home loss. Vidor battled back from a first half deficit and eventually took the lead in the second half. The Bulldogs got the lead back late but gave Vidor a chance with a turnover. But the Pirates couldn’t take advantage. The two could face each other again as they’ll compete in the Nederland Tournament. Caden Beavers (above) had 13 points and Eric Baker had 17. Dallas Rosette (#1) lead the Dogs with 24.

Bridge City Cardinals 55 New Caney Eagles 37
Cardinals (4-3) were led by Jiriaya Jennings with 12 pts, Luke Nelson with 11 pts, and Braydon Denison with 10. Aaden Bush added 8 pts and 8 assists. Cardinals will also play in the Nederland Bulldog Classic.

Orangefield beat Hardin-Jefferson 66-45. Jaden Scales had 18points, 2assists, and 3steals.

Deweyville beat Burkeville 66-38. Kamen Collins scored 31 and Ross Rivers added 8. Jaxon Slone and Heath Picou had 7.

BC Lady Cardinals torched Hamshire-Fannett 62-12

Orangefield traveled to Nederland and came home with a 41–29 win. Mikayla Locke led the way with 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Olivia Smith added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal, while Brooklyn Wagoner contributed 7 points, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds.
The JV also had a solid showing, earning a 34–26 victory. Maddie Breaux posted an impressive double-double with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 steals. Brooklyn Bishop added 8 points and 4 rebounds, and Ainsley McAlpin finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals.
The varsity Lady Bobcats will now head to the West Tournament in Waco.

Deweyville improved to 1-1 with a 37-15 win over Burkeville. Emily Myers scored 10, Kaitlyn Cibrian 9 and Kambelle Blackwell had 8 for the LP’s. Deweyville will play in the High Island Tournament this weekend.
