The battle of unbeatens took place in Bridge City Tuesday as the Lady Cards hosted Little Cypress-Mauriceville in 18-4A play and the game did not disappoint a packed house.
BC took a 32-27 lead at the half. LCM star Keylie Washburn got into foul trouble but Amaya Meadows helped the Bears stay in the game. The Cards would jump out to a 10 pt. lead in the third and played keep away in the fourth for a 53-46 win.
Coach Larry Sterling said, “We knew it would be a tough game but we were able to play our style which is pushing the ball and being aggressive. And defensively over a course of four quarters, we’re able to impose our will on our opponents with our pressure.”
Mia Sterling lead the Cards with 15, Rylee Hebert had 11 and five rebounds, Kaylee Britten added five steals and 8 points. For the Bears, Washburn and Meadows had 15 each.

Olivia Smith led the Bobcats with 16 points while Rebecca Durbin added 13 points of her own. OF falls to 1-1 in district play and will return to the court this Thursday – Saturday hosting the Bill Tennison Tournament.
