The Orangefield Lady Bobcats took on Kountze Tuesday to open district play at home and fell 42-24.
The Lady Bobcats were led offensively by Mikayla Locke who had 10 points, 5 rebounds and a steal. Rebecca Durbin was strong on the boards with 9 rebounds and 2 points, while Greenlea Oldham had 8 rebounds and 2 points. Brooklyn Wagoner had 4 points 2 rebounds, while Kaylea Gravett had 3 points, 2 rebounds and an assist.
The Lady Bobcats will host the Bill Tennison tournament this weekend before returning to district play on Tuesday at Buna. Below is a schedule for the Orangefield games in the tournament.

Deweyville defeated High Island 84-13. Emilee Totino had 17, Kambelle Blackwell 16, Adisyn Thompson 15, Madilyn Thompson 14, Baylee Smith 12 and Jill Thompson and Kaylee Crooks scored 10.

Bridge City lost to PNG in OT 60-55. AG Gutierrez lead BC with 20 points, 4 steals, and 6 rebounds. Aaden Bush had 16 points and 5 rebounds. Stephen Stone and Lincoln Breaux pitched in 7 points a piece.

CCS lost to Lighthouse 60-41. For the Lions: Genson Cherry – 27 points 10 rebounds; Austin Robinson 10 pts 8 assists.

Vidor ran over Sabine Pass 64-27. Leading contributors were Bryce Loftin (above) with 22 pts, Brayden Root with 8 pts, 8 reb, and Jose Guerrero-Evans with 7 pts and 5 assists. Loftin, a junior, also surpassed 1000 points scored for his high school career.
