Ella Stephenson threw a perfect game. She faced 9 batters, allowed no hits, no walks and struck out 7. Eden Frenzel went 3 for 3, scored four times and had 2 stolen bases. Lexis Moss went 3 for 4 with a triple and a solo home run. She knocked in 6 RBI’s for the night. Kendal Jones went 2 for 2 with an in the park home run that brought in 3 RBI’s. Washburn went 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Jillian Brown went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI. Abby Sepulvado went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. Erickson had a double with 2 RBI’s and Stephenson chipped in a single that drove in 1 RBI. The girls totaled 18 hits for the night and 9 stolen bases with Frenzel and Jones both picking up 2. The Lady Bears will face off with Vidor in Vidor on Friday night.

With a solid defense, the Lady Cards beat Vidor 2-1 to go 2-0 in district. BC scored both runs in the sixth, including the go ahead hit by Nicole Sasser. Also Jensyn Yeaman- walk, 1 run; Kaitlyn Juneau- sac bunt, 1 run; Brooklyn Droddy- 1 hit; Makenna Knight- 1 hit. On the mound for BC- Kennadee Sheffield (innings 1-2) & Cambree LaComb (innings 3-7). The Lady Cards are on the road for the match up vs. Lumberton on Friday, March 7.
Orangefield 3 Kirbyville 0
The Lady Bobcats defeated the Kirbyville 3-0. Teal Kibodeaux got the complete game win on the mound giving up just two hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts. A Charlee Sanches homerun in the bottom of the first inning put the Lady Bobcats up 3-0. Aubree Beck reached on a single and Hallee Becker reached on a bunt prior to the Sanches homerun. Sanches and Alysen Vincent added singles later in the game. The JV game scheduled was postponed until March 28th and will be played at Kirbyville. The Lady Bobcats improve to 18-4 on the year and 2-0 in district play. The JV Lady Bobcats will open up the Bridge City tournament on Thursday with games at 9:00a vs. West Brook and 12:30 vs. Buna. Both teams will travel to East Chambers this Friday to continue district play with the JV beginning at 5:00 and varsity at 6:30.

Baylee Smith struck out 7 and went 2-4 at the plate. E. Meyers was 3-4 with 2RBI’s, and M. Thompson was 3-4 as the Lady Pirates pounded out 12 hits.
