BASEBALL
The Vidor Pirates scored two in the bottom of the 6th to beat LCM 4-3 in a big district tilt.
Westin Baker singled in a runner from third. Then with Ty Watson at third, he scored on a passed ball to give the Pirates the lead for good. Bryce Bushelle got the win for Vidor (4-1) striking out 6 in 6 innings with four walks. Sims pitched the 7th for the save. The two will play at LCM (1-2) on Friday.

Deweyville beat Sabine Pass 9-3 to improve to 5-0 in district.

WOS lost at Jasper 15-0 in 5 innings. The Bulldogs exploded for 13 runs in the 4th. William Lee had the only hit for WOS. K. Caraway got the shutout win for Jasper, striking out 10.

The Bridge City Cardinals played a non-district game against ElCampo and they beat the Ricebirds 6-2. Cards (15-4) only had 3 hits, the biggest from Bryce Swanton who had a 3 run double in the fourth. Six BC pitchers held ElCampo (13-5) to just two hits.

LCM’s Ella Stephenson threw a five inning no hitter as the Lady Bears beat Silsbee 10-0 to remain undefeated in district. Stephenson struck out 12 in the victory. Lexi Moss and Keylie Washburn had HR’s. Lady Bears are 6-0 and Silsbee falls to 1-5.

Orangefield lost to Kountze 10-0 to fall to 6-3 in district.

Deweyville beat Sabine Pass 14-2 in 5 innings. Baylee Smith was 4-4 with a HR and 4 RBI’s. Presley Clark was 3-4 with an RBI. Smith also got the win with 11K’s.

BC beat WOS 24-1. Nicole Sasser was 3-5 with a HR and 5RBI’s. Haley Munoz was 2-4 with 3RBI, Cambree LaComb was 3-3 with an RBI and Brooklyn Droddy was 2-3 with 3RBI. LaComb was also the winning pitcher for the (5-1) Cards. The Mustangs are 0-6.

Vidor was down 1-0 against Jasper going into the fifth inning before exploding for 5 runs in a 5-1 victory. Brilie Cornelison was 2-4 a HR and 2RBI. The Pirates are 4-2 and Jasper falls to 2-4.
Lumberton was off and has a 3-3 district mark.
