BC’s John Van Huis steps on home plate with authority after hitting a leadoff HR in the 4th as the Cardinals beat the LCM Bears 7-3.
Landon Reeves and Aidyn Mulhollan went 3-4 with 2RBI’s each while JS Bearden pitched in relief of Braylen Collins and got the victory, striking out 9 in 4.1 innings. Landon Reeves pitched a scoreless seventh. For the Bears, lead off batter Parker Seago was 3-4 and Marco Bandiero was 2-3 with an RBI. Landon Richards started for LCM, giving up 6 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits with 4K’s and a walk. Dylan Istre pitched the final four, giving up one run on 4 hits. The two will play again Friday in BC.

WOS hung with Lumberton for 4 innings but the Raiders took command in the 5th with 6 runs as they would defeat the Mustangs 12-1. Raider Shortstop and lead off hitter Tine Hampshire was 2-5 with 3 RBI. Cannon Faulk got the complete game victory with, giving up 1 run on 5 hits with 6 strikeouts. For WOS, Diego Ibarra had two of the Mustangs 5 hits. He also took the loss on the hill.

Deweyville beat High Island in the doubleheader 9-3, 11-5.

Vidor lost to Silsbee 5-1. The Tigers scored their runs in the third and fourth innings and rode the arm of Logan Simmons who struck out 16 while giving up just two hits.

The LCM Lady Bears went to Jasper and the game was scoreless going into the bottom of the third. Coach Dena Adkins said she was looking for something to spark her team and it came in the form of defense. The Lady Bears turned the rare triple double. Jasper had a runner on 1st and 2nd. Smith from Jasper lined out to Eden Frenzel at short, who then throws to Lexis Moss at 2b who then throws to Ansley Moore at first to complete the 6-4-3 TP. It sparked our offense in the top of the 4th. Keylie Washburn lead off with a bunt for a hit and then Lexis Moss hits a moon shot over centerfield to make it 2-0. Then in the top of the 6th Ava Wright draws a lead off walk, Tessa Erickson sac bunts her over to second then Ava White doubles to centerfield to pick up the RBI. Ansley Moore then knocks in Ava White on an error by the Jasper first baseman. At the top of 6 it is 4-1. The Bears (4-0) would hang on for the 5-4 win. Winning pitcher was Tessa Erickson who went all 7 innings, gave up 6 hits, 4 runs, 1 earned run, 7 walks and 8 K’s. Bulldogs fall to 2-2.

WOS lost a marathon to Silsbee 20-6. For WOS (0-4), Nataleigh Sims went 3-4, T’Era Garrett went 2-3 with 2 doubles and an RBI, D’Ayrrah Womack went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Peyton Zimmerman went 1-3 with an RBI, Edid Balderas went 2-3 with an RBI, Carlysia Simien went 2-3. The Tigers are now 1-4.

Carson Fall throws a no hitter and strikes out 14 as the BC Lady Cards beat Lumberton 10-0. The Cards (3-1) had seven hits, two by Nicole Sasser and two by Brooklyn Droddy. It was a 4-0 game when BC scored six in the 7th. Raiders drop to 3-2.
