
Trent Eric Dunbar, 17, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Melvin Payne.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., March 9, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on March 8, 2007, he was the son of Aaron Dunbar and Megan (Broomes) Witham. Trent was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him and spent his life filled with joy, laughter, and had a heart of gold. As a senior at West Orange High School, Trent was known for being the life of the party. He loved having fun and would go out of his way to please the people around him. Trent had a passion for working on things with a motor and was skilled at tinkering. He also enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing, and he loved joy rides at night to star gaze. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Trent’s joy for life will always be remembered, leaving behind memories that will warm the hearts of his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Broomes; and grandfather, Lloyd Witham.
He is survived by his mother, Megan Witham and husband Cory; father, Aaron Dunbar; grandparents, Arthur Ray Broomes and Vera Marquis and husband Dan Marquis; siblings, Layne Dunbar and Fiancée Shelby Crumpler, Liliana Dunbar, Kaleigh Dunbar; girlfriend, Alice; aunt, Jenna and Chris Seeney and their children, Brooklynn and Phillip; uncle, Doug and Tracy Broomes and their children, Jacob, Ethan, and Reagan; aunt, Christine and Gary Neie and their children, Emily and Dillon; great uncle, John Zappa; great aunt, Carol and husband Whitey Anderson and their children, Kelly and Jill; uncle, Craig Witham and Fiancée Jennifer; aunt, Brandie Dunbar; and uncle, James Dunbar.
