At approximately 11:50 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies initiated a traffic stop in the area of County Road 1130 and Adams Bayou. The driver refused to stop, and a brief pursuit followed.
The pursuit went from FM1130 to south on FM1136. He then turned onto Chisholm Road in Mauriceville which is a dead end road. The driver attempted to flee on foot. Deputies quickly detained the individual.
The driver was transported to the Orange County Jail on outstanding warrants after receiving medical clearance at a local hospital. Additional charges may follow pending an investigation. One adult female passenger was transported directly to the jail on active warrants. Two additional adults and one child were released to a family member’s residence.
