An Orange police captain drove up on some fishy behavior during his lunch break Wednesday. He then used diplomacy to work out the great sushi detente.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said he drove into the parking lot at the Mongolian Grill on Edgar Brown Drive. A large, angry man was throwing sushi and shrimp all over, and inside, a pickup truck.
The man got mad because the pickup had been parked so close to the driver’s side door of his vehicle that he couldn’t get inside.
“He was taking out his frustrations,” Enmon said.
The captain, who stands taller than 6 feet, said the man with the sushi was bigger, so he called for back-up officers. He then went to talk to the sushi tosser. “He was a nice guy who was very aggravated,” Enmon said.
The captain found the owner of the pickup truck and the sushi attacker agreed to pay to have the pickup cleaned. The pickup truck driver apologized for his parking.
Enmon said by the time the back-up officers arrived, the situation had been settled.
I hate when people park too close to your car ! Then they will open their door and put a big ding on your car, and never say a word ! It happens a lot !
you cannot make this stuff up
I am so glad this Fishy story was solved without anyone getting hurt except their feelings .
Throwing rice isn’t just for weddings.
To the individual who commented about hating people that park to close..
From my understanding from the man himself he was already parked and went inside to eat so the sushi thrower parked his own truck to close maybe eating food made that belly little larger for the ride home and could t get back in lol…
I’ve noticed this happens a lot. There are many people out there who park without even trying to fit it between the two yellow lines. I drive a full sized crewcab and at times I’ll back out and readjust to leave room for others. And yes I get most aggravated when someone in a compact car take up two spaces. That’s just being thoughtless.
