Tony James Plant, age 57, of Orange, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, October 2, 2020. Funeral services to honor Tony’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am, until service time. Interment will follow services at, Ford Cemetery in Newton, Texas.
Tony was born on Wednesday, January 20, 1963, in Orange, Texas to parents, Sadie (Trahan) and James Fletcher Plant. Tony was a lifelong resident of Orange, Texas and a graduate of West Orange Stark Highschool. Tony made his living with a career as a Production Operator for, Operators Consultant Services, in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a very hard worker who could always be depended upon. In his job and his everyday life, Tony was a perfectionist. He was exceptionally good at playing the guitar and thoroughly enjoyed it. For a while, he was the guitar player for a band called, “Eclipze”. He loved his family and his two cats dearly.
Tony was a loving son, brother, cousin and friend, whom will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his loving mother, Sadie Laird, as well as his brother, Cliff Carruthes and a host of cousins.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, James Fletcher Plant.
