
It’s tournament time as we have teams all over the state of Texas this weekend.
The WOS Mustangs are hosting the Fruit City Classic and they need to let school out for every home game if they play like they did today. With students in the stands they scored 35 in the first quarter, and 55 in the half as they beat Liberty 80-29. They also beat Ehrhart 74-29 in Pool Play.

LCM played in the Fruit City Tournament and lost to Huntington 53-34. Brodie Fisher led the Bears with 13. They lost to Baytown Lee 43-26.

At the Nederland Tournament, Bridge City beat Porter 40-31. Cardinals (5-3) were led by Aaden Bush with 20 pts and Hunter Silveira chipped in with 6. Cardinals resume pool play Friday at noon against The King’s School and 6PM against Nederland.

Vidor is also at the Nederland Tournament where they lost to PNG 63-46. The Pirates (4-2) will be back on the court Friday at 4:30 against Berwick High School.

At the Llano Tournament, the Orangefield Bobcats beat Blanco 66-46 with Jaden Scales matched his jersey with 24 points and in Gm. 2 he scored 26 as OF beat Vista Ridge JV 78-40.

Deweyville is at the High Island Tournament. They lost to Poolville 81-19 and Alvord 59-55. They play Bob Hope at 10:30 Friday.

GIRLS
Orangefield had a strong showing on day one of the West Tournament in Waco. They opened the day with a 39–24 win over the Alvarado Lady Indians. Mikayla Locke led with 15 points, 6 steals, and 3 assists. Olivia Smith followed with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Ava Josephson added 3 points and 2 steals.
The Lady Bobcats closed out the day with another solid win, defeating the West Lady Trojans 49–26. Mikayla Locke finished with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. Madison McCormack put up 13 points and 4 rebounds, while Brooklyn Wagoner contributed 8 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
The Lady Bobcats will face the Connally Lady Cadets at 1:30pm for day two action Friday.

Vidor lost to 6A Spring Branch Memorial 67-32 and to New London 65-39 in the LaVernia Bluebonnet Invitational.

Deweyville was 1-1 at the High Island Tournament. They defeated the host Cardinals 51-35 with 25 pts from Kambelle Blackwell. They lost to Sabine Pass 42-39.
