
This week the Jefferson County Grand Jury indicted three from Orange County for drug possession.
On Oct. 22 Port Arthur Police stopped Edgar Briones, 28, of West Orange for an active parole warrant.
Briones was found to have a glass pipe in his possession with meth inside of it. When asked if Briones had any more drugs on him, he advised that he did in his vehicle. Police located a baggie of meth and another pipe in the console.

Nederland Police stopped a vehicle in October after observing an expired registration. The vehicle returned to 39 year old Ashley Leighann Issa (aka, Ashley Reese) of Orange, who was riding in the passenger seat.
The officer said Issa was acting very suspicious as she tried to produce identification. She denied consent for a vehicle search so a K-9 was brought to the scene. The dog, Rico, alerted to Issa’s purse where a baggie of meth was found.

Justin Scott Parker, 34, of West Orange, was arrested in October after he was found asleep behind the wheel on Lucas Drive in Beaumont.
Officers found in plain view, a grinder used for marijuana with residue inside the vehicle. During the booking process, crack cocaine was found in Parker’s underwear.
